BLACK and WHITE PAISLEY or DAMASK BEDDING

Is a black and white paisley or damask bedding set too sophisticated or mature for a teenage girl? Would pink, red or even purple walls make a collection like the one in the pictures suitable for the bedroom of a tween or teen?

I love paisley print and thought that I wanted it for my bedding but most comforter sets have very loud, bright colors and I'm just not into wild colors. I don't want to have to repaint my bedroom but to make a black and white paisley or damask bedding look its best, I'm willing to grab a bucket and a brush and get to work. I just need opinions on whether it's going to be worth it.
