Decorating Ideas for Red

I need some decorating ideas for red in a bedroom for my teen girl! When we discuss colors, it's red, red and more red for my 15 year old girl! My daughter is really into red at the moment and I need ideas on how to decorate her room.

She is 15 years old and her bedroom walls were painted using a light cream color paint and her father doesn't want to change the color of the walls.

What colors would work well for this room and any red bedroom decorating ideas that you might offer would be great.

Decorating ideas for red bedrooms are tricky because red is such a strong color especially when the room is for a young girl.

It can be done in an appropriate and tasteful manner, but for me to help you I need more information. For instance, does your daughter have a hobby that might inspire a bedroom theme or a preference for a particular print or fabric pattern that she might like to use like stripes, polka dots, peace signs or heart shapes? Or will we simply be working with a color scheme?

Another consideration would be the shade of red that she prefers. Does she lean towards bright, lipstick red or rustic, muted shades of red?
