Hot Pink Zebra Print Bedding

I just bought this hot pink zebra print bedding set because I thought I wanted to decorate my bedroom just like the picture. There are still things I like about the room that I plan to use in my design but for some reason those zebra print curtains and the artwork over the headboard of the bed are not hitting me just right and I need some decorating ideas!




Everything else from the throw pillows on the bed to the shade of lime green on the bedroom walls is fine.

But I want my room to be funky, fun and original and those semi-sheer curtain panels with that awful scarf swag take away from the rest of the room. Can you make some suggestions on what kind of window treatments I can use as replacements and direct me to some wall decorations that look nicer?

I have to agree that they hit a home run on 85% of the staged bedroom in the picture but that the window treatments fall short of matching the style of the hot pink zebra print bedding.

You don't indicate whether you need privacy or not, but I can see where using beaded curtains would really sparkle. Maybe alternating jet black beads and hot pink would be worth a try.

And as for the framed art, it looks like the white painted headboard is custom made with cutouts that are like cubby holes or recessing shelves with knick knacks arranged inside. If the bed were not twin size I actually think it would look pretty cool.
