MY LOG CABIN IS HOME SWEET HOME
These days, log homes are seen in the suburbs as often as in the backwoods. Many times, the rough log walls are finished with sheetrock and painted in such a way that you may forget that the outside of the house is covered in logs. Even under those circumstances, it's my opinion that I should steer my client's log cabin bedroom ideas away from styles of decor that are too contemporary or modern. I like to sneak a little something unexpected into my decorating projects but when I drive up to a log home, I'm disappointed when the exterior and interior of the home are too far removed from each other.
That being said, I'm not suggesting that log homes in urban settings should have the same log cabin bedding sets as the family hunting lodge. Rather, I'm suggesting that my log cabin bedroom ideas porfolio doesn't have many pictures of bedrooms decorated with sleek black furniture and modern fabric designs. It's just my opinion that log homes are not the best place for that style of decor. And I have to ask why the person who wants a contemporary home would ever choose to build a log cabin in the first place!
