RED and PINK BEDROOMS

Red and Pink Bedroom w. red and pink bedding and a red upholstered headboard. Do you like the hot pink painted floors?

After a recent wedding with red and pink flowers, red and pink bedrooms started to look good to me. The florist balanced the warm colors with cool green foliage and lots of white and it all looked so lovely that I thought that I might consider the color scheme for my master bedroom.

As it turned out, my daughter's turn for a bedroom makeover came around before I could get around to decorating my room and I found the red and pink bedding set that you see in the picture. To me, this comforter set has the perfect balance of color and I would love to use it as inspiration for my own bedroom decorating ideas. I really don't care for the Venetian mirrors and exotic bedroom decor surrounding the bed.

I do like the painted hot pink floor and the bright red, upholstered headboard. In fact, I love the idea of using these bedroom colors more than ever and want to use something similar in my room when I'm done with my daughter's bedroom decorating ideas.

My question is whether there can be too many red and pink bedrooms in one home? There is no way to see inside the master bedroom and my teenage girl's bedroom from the hall and her friends never go inside my room.

So, can I start looking for a pink and red comforter as soon as I'm done with my daughter's room or should I choose different colors? I really would love to have a red and pink bedroom with white walls. How can I keep the master and her bedroom from looking like carbon copies?

Not a carbon copy! :)

I like this room because it blends with the unifying colour pattern throughout the home. Your bedroom will, no doubt, will have different and probably more mature themes as time passes.

So, despite the colours the decorations that you add will change things and it won't look the same at all.

Photos and newspaper clippings for a teen girl will transitiona into classic artwork as the primary wall decorations.

Your daughter's bedroom may predominantly pink during her teenage years whereas later the room may have just have 'pops' of colour etc.

I love the room on this page and I'm looking forward to browsing the bedroom pictures on the rest of the site. :)
